Just as your website tells a story to your users, the data you collect from them (through form submissions, click rates, Length of Stay, etc.) tells you a story about them.
And while examining the underlying data is important, often the most effective way to quickly and concisely tell that story is with pictures.
This talk will focus on our experiences using the D3.js library to build data visualizations for large and varied data sources within Drupal. Our specific data sets are from survey responses and performance metrics collected through a customized Webform module workflow. In addition our sources include historical data imported from a legacy survey system. This highlights the need for developing effective data visualizations for integrated data from variety of sources. The concepts covered however, could be applied to any variation of sources.
After a short introduction we provide some background, and dive into demonstration mode, spending the bulk of the time interacting with the visualizations and engaging the audience in a discussion.
